RCM Prep Class Info
RCM Prep Class Packages, with an experienced RCM Exam Prep Teacher!
This class is for you if:
You’re in the know (you’ve taken an RCM exam before) and you need to brush up your skills/get psyched up for the next level of exam.
You’re a novice who isn’t super sure what I’m talking about — or you don’t know the extent of it — and you want to explore this curriculum in a guided setting.
You are interested in working on your ear training and musicianship skills purely for enjoyment and improvement’s sake!
Why would you want to study with me?
I support multiple students every year in their pursuit of completing their exam levels — and people don’t usually start out loving clapbacks… but by the end? They are clapping EVERYTHING back.
I’ve prepped all levels and ages of singers towards their RCM Exam — I’ve got the knowledge to help you excel. Don’t understand what a sing-back or a chord progression is? I got you. Love this kind of ear training, but just want to challenge yourself to a higher level? I’m your person!
My students regularly have great experiences in their exams, and they all say the same thing after it’s over: “Wow, that was so much easier than your mock exam!” To which I reply: “Mission accomplished!”
Brag alert! Many of my students have received First Class Honors and above, as well as several who have received the Gold Medal in their level/district/nationally. They worked their butts off, but they had a plan that I helped design and implement.

RCM Exam Prep Course Package Options
First choice is: packages of 4, 12, and 16 sessions are available in one on one, semi-private (2 max), and small group classes (4 and up). These are considered intensive packages with more accelerated instruction and drilling and generally culminate in a practical examination of some kind.
Second choice is: a package of sessions, similar to my voice lesson tuition studio membership is also available, which represents a year of instruction, is a weekly private session, and is in addition to a weekly voice lesson.
These start on a rolling basis, anytime during the year, and are a 12-month commitment. Instruction will start from wherever the student is in their RCM technical/musicianship skills journey, and build up over the course of a year, to culminate in whatever exam level is being pursued, if an exam is the desired outcome.
Students who don’t wish to prepare for a practical voice exam will work towards mutually agreed upon goals, set through dialogue with and assessment by Joslin.
You do not need to be a current member of JRD Voice Studio to partake in these sessions.
This is a course of study that has helped many of my students solidly prepare for their exams, and achieve great results - I can help you too!
